Here's Actroid DER-2, a product of the Hello Kitty-owning Sanrio corporation, in a kimono at the Kennedy Center's "Japan: Culture and Hyperculture" festival. She did her lifelike best to answer any question, but while we watched, only managed to field ones from a canned list. Still, she's charming, for a robot, and attracted a lot of attention in the Hall of States.
